about

Also from the "Nothin' So Bad" album.

Although this one is almost all music, it was inspired by the lyrical hook . . .

In 1989 I saw a documentary about Chuck Berry, made by Keith Richards. Keith Richards related a bit of advice from Chuck Berry - "Don't let the same dog bite you twice!". Sounded like a song idea to me!

lyrics

SAME DOG

I know your tears are ‘bout to fall
And I can see that you’ve been burned
Your heart is broken, but you’re young
My friend, you’ve got a lot to learn
So let me give you some advice
- Don't let the same dog bite you twice

Lovers sometimes do ya' wrong
Sometimes bring ya' to your knees
So when ya' find yourself down
Beggin' baby, baby please
Just remember my advice
- Don't let the same dog bite you twice
