Ghost Town

from Western Movies by Railtown

about

This was a 'classic' Larry Vail riff . . . he brought it to our writing session at my apartment in Nashville back in 2000. Craig and Larry used to come to town and sleep on my couch during their visits to Nashville. We were pretty close friends back then. And our writing was very much about collaboration. It would be hard to say who wrote what . . . (except that Larry did, as mentioned, bring the riff . . .) A story of love dissappeared set in the old west . . . PERFECT for this
"Western Movies" album!

lyrics

GHOST TOWN

A tumbleweed rollin' down an empty street
In the breeze, a faded sign reads "Vacancy"
Love checked out long ago
But we pretend that we don't know
There's nothing left but memories and dust

Ghost Town - I see reflecitons in the mirror
Ghost Town - I hear what seems to be your laugh
But we pass without a sound
Like two spirits in a ghost town

From outside, this place seems like it's full of life
But it's a lie, 'cause anything we had has died
why do we carry on
Behind this old facade
Acting out emotion that once was

Ghost Town - I see reflecitons in the mirror
Ghost Town - I hear what seems to be your laugh
But we pass without a sound
Like two spirits in

Ghost Town - I see reflecitons in the mirror
Ghost Town - I hear what seems to be your laugh
But we pass without a sound
Like two spirits in a ghost town
